Introduction

MUSCULAR STRENGTH & ENDURANCE activities help develop strength and endurance in major muscle groups via basic circuit training exercise stations. Also included are activities that focus on upper body strength. These tasks require transferring and supporting body weight on the hands. Teaching Muscular Strength & Endurance activities in a fun, enjoyable, and non-competitive environment will create positive attitudes toward fitness and subsequently promote a lifetime of physical activity. Emphasis on active participation and improving upon individual past performance is essential to developing competence and confidence.

Objectives

This section will:

  1. Develop muscular strength and endurance in different muscle groups.
  2. Promote and encourage physical activity at home and in the community.
  3. Advocate the enjoyment of being physically active.
